Why do you venerate
saints behind those doors?
Hmm, it's actually an
easy one to answer, you see,
for they fell so often
on their path, just like me.
And for this sinner,
with no one to follow,
they seem to leave footsteps
and line the path with their shadows.
For their hands at times
cast judgment, jealousy, and greed.
Oh, I definitely belong
to a similar breed!
These footsteps to sin
will most likely succumb,
but in line with their shadow,
I see in Heaven what might become.
