Can you imagine today
along your way?
would you hear?
Would you be filled with hope or fear?
“Did I die on this day?
Is that why You
Lord, I do not
Your kind and compassionate concern.”
Can you imagine
this very moment
from what His lips is now flowing.
Are they words
Does He recognize the suffered?
Have you recognized Me
in you pain?
For it is there
that I have reigned.
Allow Me to carry
and hold you,
and The Spirit’s grace to console you.
Can you imagine the Spirit’s flight
casting upon you Its might,
and Jesus guiding your hand
in all of life's demands.
Awaken from this dream,
He, in you now redeemed;
go forth every day
perfumed with His bouquet.
Now you imagine this world,
graceful reality unfurled;
what a place it is to be
that through these lines,
we now see?
Before you begin your day:
Judgment Day is upon us! Jesus arrives tomorrow!
These were the words that erupted from the speaker's lips at a youth conference I was part of several years ago. Those words accompanied by an inquisitive gaze fell upon bewildered teenage faces. To be honest, every adult in the room shared their puzzled look.
The speaker smiled, "Are you not happy?" To say silence filled the room is putting it lightly - it suffocated the room. He asked again, "Are you each not overjoyed? You are going to meet the Lord tomorrow!"
If you ever want to get someone's attention, start there! And, this is where our journey both ends and begins. We have arrived! So, I ask you:
Are you overjoyed to meet our Blessed Lord tomorrow?
Christ is Risen - your response?
Indeed, He is Risen!
During your day:
Brothers and Sisters:
If then you were raised with Christ,
seek what is above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ your life appears, then
you too will appear with him in glory.
(Colossians 3: 1-4).
Read the poem again. Can you imagine it - your meeting our Blessed Lord? Answer the questions as you stand beside Him.
Throughout your day:
INHALE: Christ is Risen.
EXHALE: Indeed, He is Risen!
(repeat as many times as needed)
Before you end your day:
Lord, when I awaken from this dream,
remind me in you I am now redeemed;
help me to go forth every day
perfumed for all with Your bouquet.
Help me to live better in this world,
become Your graceful reality unfurled.
Help me to make it place for others to be!
Allow my eyes through Your lens,
to forever see.
Goodnight; sleep well; know you are blessed.
